INTERMEDIATE GRADING OF U.S. COINS

Intermediate Grading of U.S. Coins
February 24-25, 2026 | Savannah, GA

This two-day mid-level course is intended to sharpen grading skills through hands-on group and individual exercises with instructor feedback on each coin. Students will gain a better understanding of current grading-service philosophies and how they evolved in the marketplace. Copper, silver and gold specimens are covered with emphasis on About Uncirculated through Uncirculated examples.

Prerequisite
Successful completion of “Grading United States Coins, Part 1” or permission from the instructors.

Instructors
Bob Mellor, ANA District Representative, advanced numismatist, educator, and author and William Latour, owner of Lowcountry Coins LLC, Vice President of SCNA, and handles the SCNA Counterfeit Museum.
